a letter from England

in a land far away there lives an elf whisperer who travels in a yellow VW Campervan with two trusty hounds. she trains her dragons when your eyes are closed in each blink and she sends her elves around the world.

the elf she dispatched to me arrived via Royal Mail one spring day. after I received and greeted the herald elf on the front of the envelope, I was delighted to see that the elf within the envelope chariot bore a book with her, which she undoubtedly snatched from my freezer. if my hair can be fashioned in a top bun, one lock will probably sprout out of the bun mutinously, too. actually, come to think of it, my hair looks like that of the herald elf most of the time.

many thanks to Ziggy Shortcrust, who sends her elves around the world. here’s to many more hand-written letters.
